flying c spring steel wire?
Iam trying to make my own lures but having trouble getting the right steel for them i have tried the TALON brand and have bought the kit for making these lures but the wire is to thin, what iam looking for is stainless spring steel wire in lengths of around 7inches and 0.6 to 0.7 in dia any ideas
Its difficult to find a guage of wire that's strong enough. However i don't know if your kit has one but a wire former will allow you to make any stainless steel wire(within reason) into a spring steel wire. I have found a lure making sales company which sells different guages of wire. Its likely that you will finds one that's right. However if you choose a wire that's too strong the lure wont flying c wont flex and have a realistic action
