Used Saltwater Fishing Tackle

i personally think maintaining an Iwagumi style biotope aquarium would be just as hard as maintaining a saltwater tank no? .... i've seen Iwagumi style freshwater tanks that surpass the beauty of any saltwater tanks and Takashi Amano inspired tanks (and his tanks itself) that look sooo f-ing breathtaking. they must be equally as hard to maintain and stuff. its just that its always been weird to me that saltwater has always been the pinnacle and that freshwater biotopes are not as popular. so anyways my question is... when it comes to an Amano inspired tank VS a saltwater tank.... which is more challenging between the 2??
thanks! i've been contemplating recently on whether i should have a fresh or salt water tank and seeing the best of both sides just really stumped me. now i know a little more about salt, i think i have some more research to do!
