can I ride roller coasters at six flags?
I am a 24 year old woman that is 290-300 lbs and I am 5'3. I know I am fat! but- I am working on losing weight. I am eating healthier and working out now. (please spare me "Eat better, exercise") I am on it! Anyways, this Friday my husband wants to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles, Ca. I want to know what rides I can ride there? I am very bottom heavy ( Big legs, butt, and lower stomach) I wear a 24 pants size. It would be awesome if someone would tell which rides I can and cant ride? Thanks for your help and (Non- mean,hurtful,troll, douche' bag) comments.
Hey - unfortunately most restraint systems work around your thigh/lower stomach area...sometimes even if you are overweight you can still get on rides if you are proportioned in your favor (not so big in your thighs/behind). I cannot say which rides you can/cannot ride - I've seen heavy people able to ride rides, and I had seen similar sized guests be turned away from rides. Most coasters will have a "test seat" outside the queue - so before you get on the line, be sure to try the test seat - there will be a marking somewhere that will indicate if the restraint had been pulled down far enough for you to be able to ride (not only does the restraint need to "click" or lock in, but it has to lock in at a certain point...usually 2-4 clicks are needed).
Usually B&M Flyers are weight-friendly because of the restraint system...Tatsu would be one of these B&M Flying coasters, so hopefully you can ride on that one (great ride).
Sorry I cannot help more, but my advice would be to try the test seats if they are available before you head on line. Sometimes at some parks you are allowed to go through the exit to test a seat (to save you from waiting on a long line only to find that the restraint will not close down all the way), but I'm not sure Magic Mountain does that when it's crowded.
