How are oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and how many are "deep" wells?
What is the number of wells oil in the Gulf and how many are considered "deep water" wells?
According to this source, about 4000 wells, Most are in deep water because of environmental regulations, ie people who do not want to see them from shore.
