Fish Question - is tuna in the same family as sardines and anchovies?
Meaning if you're allergic to tuna would you also be allergic to the rest?
Tuna is surprisingly not. It's actually from the Scombridae Family who are very fast swimmers. (Tuna has been clocked at 70kph(43mph!)!.
Anchovies and Sardines are from the Engraulidae Family. And oddly enough fishermen tend to use "this" family to bait larger fish like Tuna! Haha, Good question.
