How To Record Guitar Using Pro Tools?
I just got Pro Tools LE 8.0 the other day and I want to record an electric guitar track. It came with an audio interface, but I'm not sure how to hook up my guitar to it. Here's what I have: an electric guitar, a guitar amp, the digidesign interface that came with the software, and a computer. Can someone please tell me how to connect all these things so that I can start recording. Or if there is something I need to complete the circuit. Thank you.
You need to plug your electric guitar into the interface's audio input. Then select create a new track on Pro Tools and set the audio input to the same input you have the guitar plugged into. If you can't figure it out, ask some of the geeks at http://www.audioneeds.com - that forum is filled with audio engineers who are always on answering pro tools related questions.
